The pizza place was called Gusto Pizza. I ordered a calzone- it was massive, but I ate the whole thing to myself anyway. Holy carbs. I enjoyed every second of it. So I am ignoring the fact that my pants are a little tight today.
Yesterday I planned the first group trip to Venice for Carnivale, or Carnival, or Carneval- I have seen it spelled three different ways so I am not sure which one it is. Anyway, it was awful. It won't be so bad next time now that I know how everything works and the pricing differences, but because it was so last minute and everyone had an opinion, and decided to voice that opinion all at the same time; I was.. lets just say.. slightly frustrated. After attempting to book a hotel for 8 people for a duration of at least 2 hours. I finally got one- orrrr three, in the middle of the city. I accidentally booked two extra hotels because I never thought it went through and never got a confirmation email, until all three were in my name. HA. So I am on a hunt for 16 more friends in a mater of a week. It will all work out though. It will be fine. I keep telling myself that- so I am sure it is true.
I am not sure why, but cooking is very hard for me here. I have supplies like pots and pans and such. I can buy the freshest of the fresh ingredients. The produce is so cheap. Yet I find myself in a rut. I need to break away from just eating pasta and sandwiches I never thought I would say this, but I am dying for a fresh salad or a piece of grilled chicken with broccoli. YUM.
I want to make a big dinner tomorrow, so I am referencing my Pinterest board for inspiration. We will see how that goes.
Off to the supermarket for groceries!
Ciao!
